http://www.phenomenalplace.com gives a complete overview of things to do in Bahamas. Stuart Cove's Underwater Sub adventure is the best activity and it costs $119 a person. You get into a custom built vessel and can drive the SUB under water. You can breathe underwater with the help of an oxygen cylinder. The sight underneath the sea is unbelievable where you can see umpteen types of fish and if lucky, you can even spot some sharks. The sub adventure lasts about 30 minutes under water and you are also allowed to snorkel for another 30 minutes. Stuart Cove's also offers other packages like snorkeling, diving, swimming with the sharks and so on. Motorsailing back to the states from the Bahamas
In 1991, Wendy and I with a friend who crewed for us took Seadream IV from Toronto to Florida and the Bahamas. Times were different then, as can be seen in the scenes going through places like the abandoned if not apocalyptic apartment housings of NY State, Norfolk's nonchalantly guarded naval presence and as we Canucks casually cruise passed an oncoming American nuclear submarine. Quality is not the best but some may appreciate such images as a fast cruise through NY City on a dark and stormy day in 1991 with Lady Liberty and the Twin Towers providing the backdrop amid freighter traffic and docked cruise liners, and other ICW images heading down south through the Carolinas and Georgia to the Florida border.

Taxi cab ride from near the US Embassy in downtown Nassau, capital of the Bahamas, to the international airport. A spontaneous description of the differences between the island nations of Jamaica and The Bahamas and a brief background of Bahamian history & culture as told by our driver Edgar Laing. Thanks Edgar!
My first motor vessel! I didn't even know Gulfstar made motor yachts, but this one was certainly impressive. Twin Perkins diesels, a generator, water-maker, 500 gallons of fuel, 250 gallons of water and insane amounts of storage. Thank Phil for the tour of his 1979 Gulfstar 44, m/v After Five. I blame all Video Annie comments in the outtakes on the wine he kept feeding me! Enjoy the tour!

We head into the night with a 25 knots on our backs, then two hours later have none. The wind disappeared for hours and we lay ahull bobbing around aimlessly in the middle of the ocean. On this video I experienced my first true emergency. After leveling out at 7,000 feet about 25 miles East of Palm Beach over open ocean, the engine started running rough and would only run smoothly with the electric fuel pump. After troubleshooting for a few moments I realized that the best course of action was to turn around and cancel the flight. ATC handled this is a top emergency and declared it for me. It is amazing to see how fast ATC operated and coordinated everything. Special thanks to Boca Raton and Palm Beach ATC for their amazing response and professionalism! I apologize for my audio recording failing after about 10 minutes - that's the downside of using an iPhone for cockpit audio recording. Enjoy the video, Like and Subscribe and send me your comments. The Quantum of the Seas made her inaugural call to Nassau, Bahamas on Thanksgiving day, November 27, 2014. It was an afternoon arrival. During the morning we passed the Carnival Ecstasy, the Enchantment of the Seas, and the Disney Wonder at Castaway Cay. Nassau showed up on the horizon around 11am. We then arrived off the coast around noon before entering the channel at 12:15. Already in port upon our arrival was the Carnival Magic and the Norwegian Breakaway. The latest and greatest designs from each of Royal Caribbean's primary competitors. The Carnival Magic was the first ship to leave just before 6PM while the Breakaway then left just after 6PM. The Quantum of the Seas remained in port until a very late midnight departure. Inaugural 8 Night Bahamas Sailing on 11/23/14 Day 1: Bayonne, ...

We are cruising the FLORIDA! We can't believe it. We spend some time in wonderful St. Augustine, We do some major provisioning in Cocoa, we wait for a weather window to cross to the Bahamas in Manatee Pocket/Stuart, and keep on receiving good luck by visiting dolphins. We are a Canadian cruising couple, looking for a non mainstream life of living aboard and cruising in the Caribbean in Winter, and the Great Lakes in Summer. Working when we can to fill the cruising kitty. We have sold everything we own, and we now own a cruising boat. In this episode we are on our way down to the Bahamas for the Winter of 2016/2017. ...
We check out Manatee pocket and it's five different bars all within dingy distance, also an outboard motor shop, multiple marinas, Hinckley Yacht Services and a really cool marine consignment store. Daniela comes down to visit, we grab a room at Pirates Cove for couple nights and we move the boat in from the anchorage to a reasonable slip for $10/ft for the month where we finally get a chance to catch our breath. Next time Josh sticks around in Stuart working at the Twisted Tuna and I head out to meet up with Mike in Miami to get ready to jump across the Gulf Stream to the Bahamas.
